Capital Meats, Incorporated, recently sponsored Calvin Roswell Elementary School's culinary program by providing meats for the students to cook, as well as a brand new stainless steel refrigerator.
The culinary program is run by Chef Connie Johnson and teaches the children the importance of cooking healthy, balanced meals. Chef Connie also teaches the children how to cook without adding salt or sugar.
"I teach the children to cook something that they don't like with something that they do like," Chef Connie said. "Capital Meats provided a bunch of chicken breast for our program, and all children love chicken."
"Eating healthy is very important for our customers, that is why we strive to provide the best quality meats, poultry, and seafood," Capital Meats Owner Scott McMichael said. "We are proud to sponsor an elementary program that starts teaching the importance of healthy food to children. This is a lesson that should be learned at an early age."
